Thailand Embassy Attestation for Your UK Documents

A stamp, a signature, a piece of paper, and suddenly you’re allowed to work, marry, or start a business in Thailand. That’s really what Thailand attestation does. It’s a small process on paper, but skip a step, and it can cost you weeks. We obtain your document through notary or solicitor certification, the FCDO apostille, and the final Thailand Embassy stamp, all in the correct sequence, the first time.

Where Is Your Document Right Now?

That single question decides everything. A document that’s already apostilled needs far less than one starting from scratch. Pick the option below that matches yours, and we’ll confirm the exact price and timeline before any work begins, not after.

The Only Part That Really Matters

One Document. Two Stamps. Fully Legal in Thailand.

Strip away the paperwork jargon, and this is the whole point: your original document comes back to you carrying the FCDO apostille and the Thailand Embassy’s own attestation stamp. Both on the same original. Nothing photocopied, nothing missing. It’s sent back by tracked courier, ready to hand over the moment you land.

The Step Nobody Explains Properly

What Is Thailand Embassy Attestation?

Here’s the plain version. The FCDO apostille tells the world “this UK document is real.” The apostille for Thailand is that same signature, but it isn’t the finish line; the Royal Thai Embassy in London still has to add its own stamp on top. Only once both are there does Thailand’s government treat the document as valid.

What it confirms

It confirms the document has completed the required legalisation chain. It does not verify the document's contents.

How a UK Document Actually Reaches Thailand

Government certificates, solicitor-certified copies, notarised legal papers – they all start differently, but they all end the same way: an FCDO apostille, then Thailand embassy attestation. Think of us as the one team that drives the document down every road instead of handing you off between three different offices.

The Documents People Bring Us Most for Thailand

It’s rarely one single document. Someone moving for work brings a degree and an ACRO. Someone getting married brings a birth certificate and needs an apostille for it before Thai officials will even look at it. A company sends over board resolutions. Whatever the mix, the underlying steps for Thailand document attestation barely change: certify if needed, apostille, then attest. We’ll tell you which parts your paperwork actually needs.

What Happens Once You're Actually in Thailand

We take your document as far as UK law allows: apostille, then embassy attestation. Some receiving offices in Thailand ask for one more thing after that: an in-country ministry endorsement, or a certified translation into Thai. That part happens on the ground, outside our service, but we’ll always warn you in advance if it’s likely to apply.

After arrival

in Thailand

The steps on the right are local requirements that may apply depending on where your document will be used.

Possible local steps

Handled locally and separate from our UK service.

Ministry / receiving authorityCertain bodies (e.g. labour, education or health authorities) may require their own attestation.
Certified Thai translationCertain Thai authorities ask documents to be translated into Thai first, we can handle this as part of your order.
State or ministry endorsementA Thai ministry, state office or institution may add its own endorsement once your document is in the country.

i Not every document requires these steps. Which steps apply depends on where the document will be used.

GOT QUESTIONS? WE’VE GOT ANSWERS

Everything You Wanted to Know About Thailand Attestation

Do you handle Thai-to-English or English-to-Thai certified translations too?
Yes, we do. If your documents need to be translated before they go through Thailand document attestation, our certified translators take care of that first, so everything is accurate and accepted without any back-and-forth.
Usually not for short tourist trips, but it depends on your situation. If you’re unsure, just tell us your purpose of travel, and we’ll let you know exactly what’s needed, no guesswork on your end.
Absolutely. Whether it’s a contract, MOA, or power of attorney, we help businesses get their documents properly attested so they hold up legally in Thailand.
In most cases, yes, it doesn’t expire. But some Thai authorities may ask for a recently attested copy depending on how the document is being used, so it’s always good to check first.
It really depends on the document and where it’s from, but most of our clients see their Thailand attestation completed within a few working days to a couple of weeks. We’ll give you a realistic timeline upfront, not a vague “it depends,” so you can plan around it.
